Service Description

Workshop Overview: What does a simple thread bracelet have to do with grit? More than you’d expect. In this engaging, hands-on workshop designed especially for youth, we combine creativity and self-reflection to explore what it really means to develop grit—the perseverance to keep going when things get tough. Participants will begin by weaving a bracelet—an activity that looks easy but requires patience, focus, and follow-through. Along the way, we pause to reflect on the parallels between crafting something by hand and working toward long-term goals. This is not about perfection. In fact, most participants won’t finish the bracelet during the session—and that’s the point. The workshop emphasizes process over product, making it a powerful metaphor for life’s bigger challenges. What They’ll Learn: - How grit helps us push through challenges, even when results take time - The importance of patience, persistence, and small daily efforts - That we may not always enjoy every part of a journey—and that’s okay - How unfinished doesn’t mean unworthy—some things take time - Practical tools for building mental resilience and long-term motivation 👥 Who It's For: Youth ages 10–18 who are navigating school, peer pressure, personal goals—or just learning how to believe in themselves. Perfect for schools, youth clubs, summer programs, or parent-child events. Duration: 60–75 minutes Bonus: Each participant takes their bracelet-in-progress home—a tangible reminder to keep going, even when the path gets tangled. Offered at a discounted price for schools and school boards. Please get in touch for additional customizations.
